My Story By volunteering at WeEMBRACE, an organization that strives for the inclusion of special needs kids, I was able to work with people of different abilities. This opportunity opened my eyes to the stigmas of neurodiverse individuals in society. Attending the Stanford Neurodiversity Project- Research, Education, and Advocacy Camp for High Schoolers, I was privileged to learn about neurodiversity from multiple perspectives. But I was quick to notice that neurodiversity is not a widely known concept, and society often falls into the trap of believing in stereotypes due to their lack of interaction with neurodiverse individuals. My goal is to promote the inclusion of people of all abilities and make the concept of neurodiversity the norm. - Manvi Ketireddy -
