What is Neurodiversity?
The concept of “normal” has always been highly contested, with the opposition arguing that there can be no such thing since all humans are different in some way. Neurodiversity argues the same for differences in brain function and behavior: there’s no true “normal” brain. Rather, the different thinking, learning styles, and behaviors of neurodivergent people (such as those on the Autism spectrum and more) is just another way that variation and diversity exist in the human population.
